Take some time to visit this his uniquea and peaceful natural state park in Miami at Coconut Grove. The Barnacle Historic State Park Miami is located at 3485 Main Highway Coconut Grove. The park will take you to the Era of the bay at the Old Florida where the home of Ralph Middleton Munroe, seaman, naturalist and photographer, built his house by the shore of Biscayne Bay. The rest of the land area was developed as a state park noted by its vast landscape of Miami Hammock. The Bernacle, oldest house in Miami-Dade was the house lived by the family of Munroe built in 1891. It was marked as on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.




The park offers a venue for various activities and events such as family reunions, historic site, exhibits, meetings and retreat, museum, picnic, tours, and others.
